Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3IVLMU6G5XP6E This is just a brief overview of the D-Link DIR-825. It arrived about 48 hrs ago. I had no setup problems what so ever using the setup CD. QoS system works great and greatly improved my Netflix experience on my Xbox 360.I will repost again in a month or so to update.

I got the Sony BDP300 for a steal at $199! It arrived from an online shop with a price tag at 199 but I had a gift certificate for $75 off as a Xmas gift. I paid just over $130 for it. Was holding out for a PS3 but there was only one game I wanted. This player arrived with the 3.90 firmware update.. I updated to 4.2 before I played my 1st BR disc. It took 2:47 to go from initial loading to copyright warning on Man on Fire BD to 1:03 on Phantom of the Opera. That is acceptable to me. My Samsung plasma has a max resolution of 720p/1080i which are pretty much the same. I watch it from 6ft away and the quality is insane. I cant comment on sound as I use the built in TV speakers. Image quality? Perfect! Very happy and the load times are manageable, esp for the price!

Ok up converting dvd player. Its attached via HDMI video but i think my xbox 360 does a better job! Also tray sticks. Needs an additional pull 1 time in 5 to come all the way out for loading and unloading. Sony has really fallen off as far as build quality goes.

Fast and silent, I love this external HD. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the software expires after 30 days. I love the col orange glow (reminds me of the same color of my dashboard in my 2003 Infiniti g35 Coupe). Only thing I didnt like is that there is no flashing light for HD access. Maybe Im just old school but I like flashing lights! Access is quick and this serves as a network drive for a desktop, laptop and my Xbox 360. I'm impressed ! Also, the drive I purchased had a switchable plate for usb 2.0 and firewire connections. This was much appricated as all my usb 2.0 ports are taken up. I installed a 3 port firewire card foe my sony DCR-pc105 camcorder and plugged it into one of the free ports. Great speed and ease of connection!

Motorola SLVR L2 Phone (Cingular)Motorola SLVR L2 Phone (Cingular)
Rated 4 Stars"I'm a phone techy, but its a good phone!" 2006-12-15
Hello, before I dive into this review let me 1st state that i'm into high tech, imported Nokia phones. I havent owned a motorola phone since 1994 and way back then it was one of the 1st flip phones that took up all your pocket space, battery lasted an hr and lcd displays hadn't been invented. My carrier was comcast metrophone which, i'm sure anyone under 30 dosent remember. An unfortunate thing happened a few months ago. My super high tech Nokia N70 (not avail in the usa and cost me $450 on ebay) fell into the washing machine for 5 seconds. 5 seconds is life and death when it comes to water and you cell phone, and it drowned. Of couse Cingular didnt even know I had the phone and since it was imported from Europe no one in the world would fix it. I promptly ordered the awsome Nokia N73 but it would take 3 weeks to arrive. When I called Cingular I found out that as an AT&T transplant I was actually due a new phone. The Motorola L2 was free and I needed something to get me thru 3 weeks so I ordered it . I wasnt dissappointed and I'll keep this phone as a backup.

First I'll anayazye the many steps down but it dosent mean its a bad phone. Ok there is no calander. Second, it can only hold a total of abt 100 combined text messages . When you have 50 in your outbox and 50 in your inbox thats it . Because at my workplace I cant talk on the phone , I send a lot of txt mssgs, about 400 per month thats a problem. Also there is no camera. Not even a little one. I used to take print quality 5x7's at 2.0 MP with my Nokia N70 so I missed this feature. Out the box there is no backup software for contacts. I'm not a big cellphone gamer but there are no games included. This could be listed as a pro and con but its a phone. Pure and simple and because of its simple minded approach to life let me addess the pros.

Pros: Its a phone. And it does the job of being a simple phone quite well. Its quad band (850/900/1800/1900) As my super Nokia was only tri band (900/1800/1900) Anyone who knows what those numbers mean will thank me . Cingular broadcasts at 850/1900 in my area and while my nokia N70 had a lot of features it seems like Cingular broadcasts at 850 in most areas of my city meaning that I was in a dead zone for 50% of the places I hang out in, in Philadelphia, PA. My Motorola was perfect everywhere when it came to signal strength and reception for just about everywhere in DE,PA,NY and NJ. Calls were always crystal clear! Look at the difference . $450 bucks to have a cool Nokia N70 that didnt work 1/2 the time or a free Motorola L2 that worked great 100% of the time. The battery life was also great as I could get 5 days use outta the L2 with normal usage as opposed to my Nokia N70 at about 1.5 days .

Another perk often overlooked? The charger for the Motorola L2. Its an ac to usb charger. For abt 10 bucks you can by a usb to mini usb cable and this will charge you L2 via usb cable. I come accross a lot more open usb ports then I do power strips or wall plugs. I can charge the long lasting battery while I sit at my pc at work or when I use my laptop.

The screen is many steps down from my nokia N70, but if i'm not playing games or taking photo or video, I found that it didnt matter.

I've since replaced this phone with a Nokia N73. I was gonna sell the L2 on ebay, but you know what? Even for a techy, it makes a great backup phone. I'm gonna keep it in case my Nokia N73 goes swimming. Anyone looking for a basic cell phone cant go wrong with this one .

Ok, I got this phone when it first came out in late 2004. The only problem that I've had with it is that it likes to crash (and crash hard) on average, once a month. When I say hard its terriable. All internal memory is lost and the memory card is wiped clean. Since I have prior experience and use of Nokia phones for the past 8 yrs, Once a week I back up my phone on my pc. This saves a lot of heartache. It seems the problem is most prevelent when you take the phone from a cold environment (50 deg or less) to a warm one (work). The Phone will lock up after a call and then ask to save data press start (there is no start key) or data will be lost. You can do one of two things. Turn the power of then on (usually results in loss of all data ) or take the battery out and put it back in (75% this saves your data). I'm pc savy so as long as I back the phone up every week I'm ok. The less tech savy will be upset , esp after typing in 300 contacts and loosing them and the 200 pics you took in the last month. I contacted Nokia and they said they would need the phone for a month. At that time I could not be without it with no loaner so I've worked around the problem. Also of note, I purchased the phone from ATT (now cingular) in 2004 dec and the have told me twice they didn't recieve my correct rebate information for 100 bucks. The rebate dept is the worst ever! I hate em. In 8-10 weeks i might get a rebate if lucky. The transisition from ATT to Cingular has not been smooth!

Rated 3 Stars"A mixed bag of Images" 2005-03-31
Ok, so the max resolution is 3.2 MP. In and of itself this isn't a problem . For years I toted around a Sony DSC-P30 (see my other reviews) 1.3 mp camera with great quality that I could print out to 5x7. I guess i've been spoiled by my Nikon 5700 and 8800. For what you pay for in this camera, you get mariginal results. OK 3.2 mp isn't gonna cut the mustard at 8x11 or higher print size. The image quality is nothing your gonna desplay at a gallery. However for point and shoot events like a party, this camera comes into its own. Its form factor is tiny and I imagine anyone that buys this camera is looking for something small. When I don't wanna lug my huge Nikon 8800 around, this is what I take. I hope its not a fleeting moment at the party because it takes 3 plus sec between shot to shot with flash on this camera and there is no burst mode (Casio give us one with a software update!) For the casual photographer this will work just fine. For the price it can't be beat esp for the low 200's that its offered for online. Color reprudction is of but stick to bright natural light, otherwise the camera will default to iso 200 for scenes, noise fillled, that don't really need that setting. I use this camera at parties for the small form factor and not really for the quality. 5 x 7's are fine. Anything larger is not. Its a great cool looking camera but by no means the best in photo quality. Future gererations of the ceramic lens i'm sure will be great but because of the slow shutter lag I have to resign this to party events when a samll camera is required or for ebay photos. Plese see my test shots then look for my others for the Niknon 5700 or 8800. You be the judge. Personnaly i like the camera for its small size but the quality left me wanting. For ebay its fine for practical imaging, you let me know.

Hiya. I know that some people have been giving Sandisk products a hard time since they joined the market. I've never had a problem with Sandisk products since I started purchasing them a few years ago. If you own a Sony digital camera or camcorder and wanna save some cash on memory cards sandisk is where you go. I just purchased a Sandisk 512 mb sd card on ebay for forty bucks. Its perfect for the 3.2 mp Casio Exilim EX-S100 that its mated to. This card will hold 276 pics at the cameras finest resolution and 2 weeks and 1000 pics later I have no complanints. The camera writes quickly to the card and the card can transfer 500 mb of pic data to my pc in less then 8 mins (using usb 2.0 cradle connection). It hasent failed yet. I think the problem with a lot of consumers is they don't format the card in camera. Please try this as it improves the write speed greatly. Sandisk is a fine company and very reliable .

Rated 3 Stars"great DVD player while it lasted" 2004-06-21
I purchased this DVD player to replace my top of the line (at that time Novb 2001) Sonyu DVD-0S570D which refused to play DVD+r disc and about %50 of my dvd collection. The Panasonic worked great for 14 months . 2 months past its warrenty. At 15 months it gave up the ghost and refused to play any dics at all. While it worked great , I have to give it low props for lasting 2 months past warrenty. My fisher VCR from 1990 still works ! !4yrs old ! This item was replaced by a Sony DVP-665ncp which is now a month old and working great with a 2 yr warrenty from best buy, I'd swore I'd never buy a Sony again as they let me down 3 times in the past decade .

Rated 5 Stars"With this and a WET11 Xbox Live is fantastic!" 2004-01-29
I purchased the WRT54G about a week ago. It is attached to my desktop a P4 at 2.6 Ghz running Win XP Home. To be honest I got it just to link up my Xbox (attached to a WET11 wireless ethernet bridge)to my cable modem (ISP Comcast), so I could get rid of the 70 feet of ethernet cable that ran down the hall. Even though the WET11 is a B standard I knew that this router would be compatiable and in the future I plan to link 2 other PC's too it . The setup was a breeze, I had some reservations about a wireless network (see my review for linksys wet11)but this item was on sale as well as the WET11 so I just had to splruge. To set up the xbox, wap, and ethernest bridge, with the encryption on was less then 30 mins. Not once did I have to call tech support or the IT guy at my workplace. Nor did I need any settings from my ISP. The setup software did everything. This is my first foray into the wrld of wireless and it couldn't have gone better. My Xbox connection seems as good as with a cable. My Xbox is about 70ft and 3 walls away from the WRT54G. In a week of use i've never had to reboot the router. There is also a Panasonic cordless phone (2.4 Ghz) between the wap and the ethernet bridge but it never causes a problem. Great items !

Nokia Wireless Headset for Nokia 3650 and other bluetooth phonesNokia Wireless Headset for Nokia 3650 and other bluetooth phones
Rated 4 Stars"It seems just fine to me.." 2003-07-26
I recently reviewed the Nokia 3650 phone and would be remiss to no say anything about the 1st accessory that I purchased for it , this headset. I went to Nokia's website to purchase this item but it was out of stock so I oreder the Japanese/Asian version from a shop that specializes in cell phone accessories. Like the other reviewers said its a breeze to set up with the 3650. I think it took me all of 3 mins. I have what I consider, regular size ears and the headset is comfy for brief uses. I only wear it on my ride to and from work (a 20-30 mins trip). Its very light and a lot smaller then you would think by looking at the photos. It reception and range is great. I usually keep the phone in my glovebox in the car and my headset in my ear. The range is about 20-30 ft before the signalk get bad and at about 40 ft the signal breaks off. That means I can (if I have the right parking spot) get out my cae , walk into dunkin donuts for coffee and stop by the newspaper box and get back in the car without loosing my signal and I do this several morinngs on the way to work. Calls can be answered and ended and vol raised and lowered all on the headset. For the price I paid (...) for this item I think its worth it. It only lost one star because the battery cover seems kinds flimsy and it comes off when I put the unit in my pocket with change and /or keys in there. Also forgot to mention that the phone recarger also recharges the headset .

Sony DCRPC9 MiniDV Handycam CamcorderSony DCRPC9 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder
Rated 4 Stars"Fantastic camera except for still camera and akward size" 2002-04-14
About 2 months ago I purchase this camera forunner the DCR-PC5. What I liked about the dcr-pc5 was its small size, still camera mode, the use of he sony memory stick and np series batteries (both compatiable with my soncy dcr-p30 digital still camera)and its great looking hi res video. I had received a sony CCd-TR81 handycam as a graduation gift about 10 years ago and new that a sony was a fairly reliable and durable camera. Some issues that I had about the DCR-PC5 included marginal battery like with the supplied np-11 battery, low still camera resolution and quality, slow still image transfer to by pc via paralell port and slightly akward ability to hold the camera. (I'm 6'2 and have big hands, that might be the problem). Last week a good friend of mine loaned me his DCR-PC9 and I was suprised at the improvements. The battery life has been noticebly increased, the slow parellel connection has been replaced by usb transfer port. How come sony dosent allow still image data transfer via the ieee1394 firewire? Odd. I still think the camera is a little akward to hold and if you don't have a still digital camera and only need to post photos to the web then this is fine. Again the video quality is excellent and I like this camera much more then canon's optura mc10-mc20 line. Feels more solid. Also analog signal can be uploaded to the camera and stored in a digital format and then thransfered to your pc if your into editing which I am. Also a ton of editing effects are built right into the camera. Some people will balk at the price of this model but its worth it even if your only gonna use it seldomly. ...

Rated 5 Stars"Gundam OVA at its highest quality." 2001-08-10
In the early 90's Gundam OVA were relaeased at a much higher quality then the episodic gundam wing. While GW is a good series (I have all the currently released domestiv DVD vols.) These early OVA series were excellent. As far as these OVA seies go this is only second to my all time favorite 0083 Stradust Memories OVA. The quality of this series is excellent. And wait until you grt to the final eposide "Last Resort"..longtime Gundam fands will know exactly who the Flannaghan Agency reprsents. An awsome cash cow for Bandai but also a winner for us fans.
