| I use this book every January with my music students. We read the book, analyze the rhymes and rhythms but most of all....we enjoy the song by Carole King. If you're thinking of getting this book, you MUST, MUST, MUST get the Carole King sound track to go with it. (Also, see the video on YouTube!!!) I've read some reviews that complained about the size of the book. Yes, the hardcover book is small. This is one time where I would go for the paperback over the hardcover. The paperback is larger. This is also a good tool for teaching fiction and non-fiction. Each month has some silly, not-possible situation with chicken soup with rice. Sipping once, sipping twice, sipping chicken soup with rice! | ||

| This book is a wonderful tool for teaching students the instruments of the orchestra. If you're using it to teach, you MUST buy the CD too. The CD is narrated by John Lithgow and has some wonderful musical interludes on it. The book can also be used as a tool to discuss behavior. Farkle does some pretty rotten things with his instruments. This gives you a good "teaching moment" with your students. | ||

| I read this book to many of my music classes. They ALL loved the book--from pre-k up to the fourth grade. It's funny, silly and cool all at the same time. They LOVED listening to the Punk Farm version of Old MacDonald.
The book can be used to teach about the instruments used in a rock band. I just ordered Punk Farm on Tour. Can't wait to get it!! | ||

| I have this book and the CD with the song of the same name. I am an elementary school music teacher. I use this book with my younger students as a lesson on behavior. They LOVE the song/book. They would listen to it every week if I let them. I would say that everyone up to the 2nd grade LOVES this book! | ||
