I bought this earphone after much research and a few tries of other brands. This is the best, with superb clarity, and balance. This phone is sturdy, of good quality. Unless you are super-base fan, this is the right thing for you. For more base, turn on iPod's Equalizer does a wonderful job, better than those much hyped basy phones out there.

This is a great war movie, packed with one of the best surround sound ever made for movies. Even just for testing your suround theatre system, this movies is a must see. Acting is overall good. One strong impression I got is that this operation is badly planned. The gerals have to be blamed. Their beucratic style in the movie made a point. The big mistake is that the leadership badly under-estimated the power of the warlords and the potential dangers out there. There is bad coordinatoion between the units too. It is painful to watch these brave soliders die in vain, due to a great part their officers' incompetence.

Speaking from real experience, don't waste your money buying this cable which makes absolutely no difference from a cabe you can find with half or less the price. I bought a few top of the line monster cables once I got the top of the line SONY XBR960 HDTV. Later on I switched cables around, with other brand, cheaper component cables such as Philips PTS1000 (the HDMI standard owner by the way), and also other HDMI cables (even no name brands coming with my DVD player). You know what? I see absolutely no difference even under close examination. The SONY XBR960 produces the finest pitch you can find on any TV. You think about what that means. Stop buying this ridiculously priced cables, and save your $$ and buy somethinfg else on your shopping list. Digital is digital. Don't let monster mislead you that their cables produce more 11010 ... than others.

Wow. what a player! I bought the panasonic s77s initially. After a few days of playing, I was very disappointed with the picture quality. The picture was just grainy no matter how much I tried to adjust it. Besides that, I cannot play any DVDs from other regions or in PAL format. My HDTV is a new SONY XBR960, the best HDTV you can find in modern times, with the finest pitch size ever. I gave up the Panny and ordered the OPPO at the same time. My first good impression is OPPO customer service. Anyhow, I got mine really quickly and wow, what a difference! The picture is sharp out of the box. All I have to do is to hook it up and press that DVI button and I am in HD 1080i mode watching crystal clear pictures. No more grains, period. Unlike some users here, I find the remote control works great. The player plays everything I throw at it, you name it, and very smooth and responsive. I haven't seen a single sign of macroblocking yet on my SONY. The player comes with all the cables I need (don't buy monster cables. Save $$) (DVI-HDMI cable isn't offered by amazon though, but OPPO sent me one).

I just bought this book and am COMPLETEly disappointed with it. Here is why. The book is badly written, hard to read and follow. Although it is said that this is a book is for " many readers", it is really for those who have already known all the algorithms. It is simply impossible to learn the algorithms from this book. The chapter on neural network is a few pages. It provieds a few equations for backpropagation. That is it! It is pretty much true for every thing else. Equations, hard to understand sentences, abbreviations with no explnantions, tons of citations everywhere. A book should strive to explain, and not to cite what other papers and go look there all the time. I suspect the few good reviews here are from the authors themselves. I have a good programming background. I also read some papers on neural network and hidden markov models, This book is a lot worse than anything I have read in explaining the stuff. Very disappointed. Save your money and get something else.
