I have had tried the rest and now I settled for the best. About 2 years ago I had a BB curve 8300 and loved it but unfortunately I fell into the hype of Apple advertising and decided to switch to the Iphone 3g but quickly became tired of the virtual keyboard for the simplest of emails and text msgs. And the big kicker for me was the poor battery life which many times would not even last me through half a day. I sold that and purchased a Nokia e71, great phone, AWESOME build quality. I don't have much negatives to say about the e71 other than the symbian OS was not very intuitive and required a great deal of searching for simple changes to settings, etc. The keyboard is decent but certainly not made for larger hands. I kept this phone for about a year and decided to switch back to the old Blackberry. So I did some research and decided on the Blackberry 9000 BOLD, because of the 3g, wifi and gps. I have only had the phone about 3 days but I fell right back into loving everything about using a blackberry. The keyboard rocks, the screen resolution is amazing, the OS is very snappy and makes doing tasks on the phone a pleasure and not a search and hunt mission. There are a ton of new apps using the Blackberry App store and I'm sure it will keep growing. After having both the iphone, nokia and now a BB I can finally say I think I've found the one and plan on sticking with it. If I was to say anything negative about the phone it would be the back door battery cover which does not appear to stay on tight and has some play in it. I think this is more of a design flaw and I'm sure BB will fix this with the newer bold 9700 coming out. I also upgraded to a non AT&T Blackberry Operating System (O/S) ending with .301 . I have found this O/S to give a lot better battery life.
If you are on the fence, I certainly think the BOLD is the way to go. BUY IT!
