This soundtrack is nothing short of a cultural revival. If it took a wonderful movie and its soundtrack to bring this music back to the forefront and garner the attention it received and deserves, so be it. br /br /What better way could there be to reintroduce such wonderful music? At the moment I can't think of any.br /br /Like many have said before there's not a bad track. This soundtrack is full of surprises and rich nuances that make it a joy to listen to over and over again.br /br /Even if you haven't seen the movie this soundtrack is worth getting.

What can I say, this is a fun filled and fun to listen to recording. It's lighthearted and a musical blast. Some of the best neo-swing music around. Outstanding musicianship all the way around!br /br /Give it a spin!

This is a straight up fight film with a simple new twist, it takes place in a prison. I always enjoy seeing Peter Falk, and the character he plays as the gangster is great. Once the stage is set, you pick your favorite to win and watch as the fight unfolds. Great entertainment.

A turn of events can change a person's life in an instant. That certainly is the case here. A brutal attack finds Foster's character (Erica Bain) barely alive, and her fiancé not so fortunate. Bain finds herself struggling with a stranger within herself. Unable to connect with the world she knew before her attack, Bain becomes her her own demon. She finds herself once again in the wrong place at the wrong time, witness to a murder in a liquor store, and in this instance she is pushed beyond the brink. She lives for vengeance, and strangely on the wrong side of the law, out to right the wrongs of the world. Bain's only connection and comfort comes from the relationship that develops between her and Detective Mercer (an outstanding performance by Terrence Howard) who is out to catch the mystery vigilante. In the end, it is Mercer that hopefully has brought Bain back from the edge (didn't want to give too much away). Outstanding performances and gritty tension. Well done.
	Shine a Light [Blu-ray]

This is such a beautiful and intimate film of the Stones in concert. It's by far the best Stones film I've seen. This movie showcases a band that has stood the test of time, doing what they do best - making great music. I like the fact that lesser performed songs are featured. I found this to be a riveting look at the Stones, almost like being on the stage with them. Bravo!
	Jimmy Rogers All-Stars - Blues Blues Blues

I just happened to stumble upon this recording and was blown away the moment I listened to it. Usually it takes me a few listens to warm up to a collaboration blues CD, but that wasn't the case here. Every track is outstanding and real blues at its best. I've recommended this recording to every blues fan I know. I love surprises like this!
	Father of the Bride (15th Anniversary Edition)

I found this to be funny, touching and entertaining. A cheapskate dad has to let go of his "little girl" and some of his money. The women in his life make it impossible for him to do anything other than go along with it all, and that's what makes it funny.... just how he comes to accept the situation. When dear old dad does, all goes well and is where the film is touching.

This film is funnier than the first. Given the subject of becoming and grandfather, and a dad again at the same time, this gives Steve Martin the chance to really cut loose - and he does! Through in a little bit of a mid-life crisis and you have a wonderful comedy!

This is my first iPod and I've been very impressed with it. It has worked flawlessly from the day I took it out of the box. It syncs perfectly with iTunes and couldn't be easier to use. I bought this for the video features. I like to watch podcasts, but don't have the time to just sit at home in front of a computer, so I decided get this so that I can take my podcasts with me and watch them when I have time. The iPod is a great way to do this. As for music, I prefer to buy that from Amazon which allows me a get a copy for my iPod and have another copy for my Zen jukebox. This is simple too. You just purchase the song here at Amazon and their software loads a copy of the song into iTunes that is waiting for you the next time you sync. All in all, this is the iPod (160gb) I would recommend if you have a lot of media that you'd like to take with you.

The performances of Ian Holm and Johnny Depp really make this a movie worth watching, as does all the attention to detail in recreating 1888 London. The story moved along quickly and was very suspenseful, exploring all the little hells of the main characters. This tied together the story nicely, as did the motive behind it all. A very interesting take on an infamous bit of history.

To get an overview of the music Steve Winwood's been involved with, you have to look at the bands he's been in and the influence they've had. That's all captured here in an outstanding collection of songs. I think you could debate what to add and what to leave out, but you can't argue that Winwood is an outstanding musician who has been quenching our musical thirsts for years.

I seemed to get caught up in the subtle complexities of time travel films, and there are plenty of those in Deja Vu. Given the cast, great performances are a given, leaving the unfolding of the story and issues of traveling through time to keep you guessing until the end. Very entertaining.

Ray Charles deserves his own genre. There is something unmistakable about what Ray Charles brought to music, I'd venture to say it was his very own Soul! If you're searching for an example of this, it's all here in this collection. Your spine will tingle and your skin will crawl. This is beyond just good! Stunning and then some!

After hearing and reading all the fuss about this movie, I finally got to see it. Seems the fuss was about the subject matter and not the movie. Tom Hanks gave a mediocre performance at best, taking a back seat to the story I guess. The dots were connected too quickly and easily. The movie was entertaining, but that was mostly because of the strong performances of Ian McKellen and Jean Reno. I'm not much for conspiracy theories,so I'm sure I'll get blasted for my review but I have seen better told stories (regardless of the subject). For some of Tom Hanks best see Cast Away. For some outstanding story telling see Strangers on a Train. This movie makes for good Cable Fodder, but isn't one that will stand the test of time.

This album has held up well to the test of time. Just as much a treat to listen to today as when it was released. Not a bad track. A very innovative musical outing!

This is a solid release by Alanis that showcases her talent and is a pleasure to listen to. Her cover of King of Pain is a real treat too!
	Creative Nature & Outdoor Photography

Brenda sums up her philosophy of photography by saying that "you make a great picture with your soul, not your eyes". I tend to agree with her. Her book covers the areas of light, design, composition, color, and technique. These subjects are well presented and best contemplated and incorporated into one's own interpretation of nature and outdoor photography. One of the best things she points out is the importance of capturing the essence of your subject, something a lot of photographers seem to overlook. A thoughtful book that was a pleasure to read.
